Truck has bad hesitation in drive .It does not seem to do it in 1st or 2nd and will sometimes backfire when you try to step on it.This does not happen all the time .Seems to happen when I drve it more often. So it is a automatic and if I'm going down the interstate crusing at say 65 it will have this bad surging or hesitation if I step on it like I'm passing someone and it does not backfire then it runs ok till I let off then same hesitation comes back.i know this was a long question but any ideas.thanks

no help here sorry.

i have the same problem although it is quite intermittent. cruising along at the customary 80mph, then it gets a miss. you boot it and it runs smoothly for a while. just a bit of input. i did have a series of exhaust leaks. once i finally fixed this it did go away for a while. i took my truck for an 11 hr drive and it came back only very slightly. i seriously think there is a problem associated with exhaust sensors....i know this doesnt help you but i think we can all work this out with input.

got minr with a backyard wanna be cat-delete.... leaked worse than tryna fill a cheese grater with water... eliminated the crappy angles they chose, added an X-pipe, and deleted the magnaflow bolt on muffler system and run my straight dog out the rear... the leaks are crazy havok on the o2 sensors... one reading will show lean, the next rich.... and the fuel system plays hell tryna sort it out... had to use the no foul plug trick on sensor 2 to keep it from throwing low voltage codes.... but i agree, exhaust leaks are straight hell incarnate...

Help please ,I need to see what mechanics or Srt specialists can help when a pcm will not communicate with the vehicle, I have had it sent to the viper store and it has a clean bill of health, yet the truck will not run correctly and the reading show the fuel pump turning on and off while the fuel gauge goes ballistic. I currently have the 34k mile beauty at a dodge dealership and they don’t have the first clue... please any help would be appreciated. Thanks Steve

Had same problem with my 06 QC. Was the Crank And Cam sensors out of timing. Replaced both sensors and problem went away forever
