Two West Coast Mopar Events You Don't Want To Miss
Sounds like the eastern folks have a great time ahead of them in NC!
For the western folks there are two annual events that you don't want to miss.
The 3rd Annual Mopars at the Strip is the first weekend of April at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Last year there were well over 1,000 cars, all Mopars. There is a lot of drag racing and a huge car show. There were two 7 second/200+mph Vipers. There was also a KOS '71 Hemi Cuda running similar numbers. There is a very fast truck class that's run what you brung. However, you have to pass an NHRA safety tech inspection. That means if you're under 12 seconds you have to have a cage. There is a swap meet and a manufacturer's midway. You can park an RV at the race track for a just a few bucks. If you're gonna stay in a Hotel book it early. See http://moparsatthestrip.com/2005/index_2005.shtml for more info.
The following weekend is the 19th Annual Spring Fling in Van Nuys, CA. It's one of the biggest all Mopar car shows and swap meets west of the Mississippi. If you can't find parts there for your Mopar project, they probably don't exist. It focuses mostly on vintage Mopars but there is a growing contingent of modern stuff as well. See http://www.cpwclub.com/ for more info.
Both events are well attended. You'll want to get there early!
