I got a really tight garage so tight I gotta fold the driver side mirror in to fit....well I took the rig out to wash after work and noticed on the drivers front air dam a nice 6 inch paint scrape!!!! Got everybodies attention now? Well I must have turned the wheel when I was backing out today or last night and now I have just broken in the virgin!!! Trying not to panic I break out the Meguirs Cleaner wax and too my delight it took off all the house paint and left it nice and clean. With a very close inspection you can see a slight 2 inch mark in the black paint, but its really hard to see unless you look for it. Basically I got really lucky here..... I guess I need to hang those mirrors in the garage so I can look forward at the reflection of my truck in em and see all thats going on as I back out!! Whew, that was a close one!! It got my heart going real fast there for a moment..... ick dont want to try that again.

I know what you mean. With the truck and the Impala it is tight for me to pull in and STILL get out .I had a lucky pass on the mirror on the side of the garage.

Has anyone else bottomed-out the front end yet, like me?

Ya know, pulling in or out of a driveway or parking lot entrance, and hearing that 'scrape' as you do. The paint under my front fascia is a little muffed-up, but you can't see it unless you climb underneath. Still sucks though... :(

Man I am so picky where I park, I watch every curb.....and speedbumps, man they suck! There are some condos here that I wont drive into cause I know they got oil pan damaging size bumps much less rip off the front fasia.

I definatly have to drive slow in and out of my driveway, I got those rounded curbs in my hood, very crappy design. Unless of course your a skateboarder!!

When I built my two-car 30'x30' garage a few years ago, I was going to put standard 8'-wide doors on it.

My neighbor said with a garage that big, I should look at 10' doors - I did and they only cost $10 more per door.

Makes things really nice.
