Greetings, I’m new to the forum I had an o4 SRT10 for 5 years and had to let it go in the mean times
just purchased an 05 double cab automatic
It shifted way to hard, seems someone modified the trans, which, as I understand can’t be Reversed. Si I bought a used auto trans and had a very knowledgable trans guy in Jacksonville FL install the “new” one.he said this one wasn’t modified and should function as stock, But it bangs the gears also.
i cant believe this truck left the showroom shifting this poorly
Any advice would be appreciated

Hello Camps, I had a similar issue with mine as well. First resort was to think the tranny was toast, but there are a couple things to check. Reference to this post 2005 QC Transmission Slipping (on another forum) and I think it will narrow down the problem. Good luck

get a reputable trans shop to diagnose it , first ,

Try using Mobil 1atf . Change the fluid in your clutch system also.
