Yesterday i went to the track for the first time since i bought the ram,it was hot but the track was sticky and is at sea level(It's by the beach literally if you have poor brakes you'll end up inthe water!!) well to make a long story short, i left out the clutch at about3,500rpm and the truck bogged!! absolutely no wheelspin , i had 2.20 60ft,9.15 in the 8th and [email protected] in the quarter., tried again same results oh i was "granny shifting"still getting used to the long shifter, the truck has only 1,200 miles, rear tires were at 30psi any help will be appreciated, also do the distance of the pedals will have something to do with that,i mean if the pedal are all the way down will the truck accelerate the same at wot? thanks for the help.

If the trucked bogged down, then the clutch is slipping. Try pumping the clutch and see if you can spin the wheels. My guess is there is air in the line, or you just have the same problem all the SRT/10 RAMS have, ****ty tranny parts :).

If the truck doesn't bog, the clutch is slipping. Your clutch is fine. You are launching the way a lot of stock Vipers launch. Mine bogs just like yours at 3,500 and a clutch dump. This type of launch is easiest on the clutch........until you get the RPM too high and the clutch begins to slip or the tires spin. Don't let street experience influence what you do at the track. They are two completely different surfaces. If you want to lower that 60' time, you're going to have to slip the clutch though. Just enough to not get a bog when you launch. You have to let that clutch cool down between runs. Wait 30+ minutes between passes. Shift between 5000 and 5500. Any higher and you will go slower. Look at the dyno sheets. The first time I shifted like that, I chirped tires going into 4th (on a sticky track, not the street). If you are concerned about the pedal height, have someone look at the throttle body while you floor it with the peddles all the way up and all the way down.

Pachy,

Viva Puerto Rico!!

I went to high school there, and also worked in the power plant in Aguirre.

Lived in Guyama and Arroyo. San Jaun too!!

Saw alot of really fast ricers on that island.

I will return some day to party with all my friends. Puerto Ricans now how to party!!!

I can't believe you got that big V-10 truck on that Island, It outa do great on the track once you get her wired.

Man I would have loved to have had mine when I was there.

Suerte Amigo!!!

I went to the track last night, not race just to watch my friends. I did not get there in time for inspection. Man did I get a load of sh#t for not racing!!! Especially from the L guy!!! He runs consistant 12.7's with his mods.....yeah like I am gonna do that with my stock truck. I took their abuse and kept telling them "next month guys"!!!! Good news is my friend won the street class with his 84 vette!!! $200 and a big ass trophy...not bad at all.

I got the exact crap when I went to the track to watch some friends. The truck was too new then for me to want to race it. Even the announcer at the track was giving me sh#t over the PA system for not racing. I found out later that he owns a L.

My bad, I took bogged as just sat there, until I re-looked at his 60' # ;)

If you just sit there and don't move and it boggs :)
